Emotional Well Being

  • Common mental health problems affect many people however studies have found that there is in an increased prevalence in Young People that are Looked After.

  • Children and Young People’s Health Outcomes Forum found that Looked After Children were five times as likely to attempt suicide than their peers.

  • It is for this reason that we ensure that our team have training and experience of working with young people who have a history of mental health struggles such as, anxiety, depression and self-harm.

  • We ensure that using an understanding and non- judgemental approach we build a trusting rapport with our service users, providing them with consistent dignity and respect and valuing their individual perspective in their challenges.

  • We work closely with professional specialists in mental health such as CAMHS to ensure that the young person is provided with all support available.
